Real vision is the world’s first video-on-demand service for the financial sector. In the style of “TED talks for investors,” Real Vision creates premium, subscription-based content, giving members direct access to the thoughts of some of the most successful investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers and business leaders.
In one of our weekly video programs, we explore why finance matters to everyone, and not just to bankers or traders. In each episode, viewers will learn why one well-known event could lead to something else entirely unexpected. We call it “The Knock-On Effect”: where we start with the thing you know and end up in a strange place.
We’re looking for a creative storyteller with finance and news knowledge to assist with producing “The Knock-On Effect”. Each week, you’ll come up with a story relating a current financial event with some unexpected outcome: for example, how might the surging popularity of almond milk make collectible stamps rarer. Think uncommon market conditions, unusual economies, and under-the-radar stories. You’ll also contribute behind-the-scenes to enhance the content by searching for archival videos, conceptualizing props and graphics, finding potential guests and conducting phone interviews.
You should have strong writing and storytelling skills, a deep curiosity about the world, and knowledge of a broad range of general news topics. You should be able to work well independently on multiple projects and consistently deliver excellence on time. You should also be able to coordinate and collaborate with your immediate team and in-house content teams.
